Why Do Dashboards Look Different on Mobile

For instructions on how to get the mobile application see How to download the mobile app.

If you do use the mobile version of the application, you will notice that Dashboards work differently on mobile to how they work on computer browsers. They both look different and provide slightly different functionality. Customization is also not available on the mobile version. The differences are due to the distinct use cases of the two versions:

The browser version of the application is designed to be used on a computer with a larger screen format, but also as a remote interaction point for monitoring, managing, and engaging with your data in order to facilitate strategic change at scale. Interaction with your data is therefore presented in a way that enables greater information density and more complex functionality.

For more information on the browser version please see How to Customize Your Dashboards.

In contrast, the mobile version of the application is designed to be used on-site and to assist in actively handling moment-to-moment decision-making. This means that the presentation of data is intended to be simpler and more immediately useful at a glance. This includes a greater focus on presenting live rather than historical, data, and design implemented specifically to enable faster consumption for the benefit of time-sensitive operation.
